Since day one, we’ve wanted our people processes to reflect that we’re an organisation that cares. Everything we set out to do — from the emails we write to candidates to the benefits we provide our team — is built on a foundation of care and empathy.
After multiple experiments (some worked, some didn’t), conversations with people success leaders across the country, and a constant aspiration to do better for our team, we built a starter kit our people success team currently uses in their everyday life at Plum.
But why did we decide to share an internal resource with the whole world, you ask?
We’ve attempted to answer this question in four different formats — tell us which version you liked best.
Here’s what you need to know before getting started:

Inspiration
<aside> 🤯 This section contains resources, frameworks, and templates shared by some of the country’s most progressive organisations.
When you click on one of the thumbnails, a window appears containing the link to the resource, what you can expect, and why we loved it.

A bonus resource before we begin: The Plum Jam playlist
<aside> 🎧 From All Hands to learning sessions, we host a fifteen-minute warm-up session where we play our favourite music.
**While we didn’t know it at the time (we just did it because it was fun), playing music at the workplace has been proven to improve teamwork and cooperation.**
Fun fact: Happy music provokes people to make decisions that contribute to the good of the team.
While we encourage you to build your playlist, feel free to use ours. Curated by Rithika Suresh. ****

In December last year, we decided to sit down with our people team to develop a repository of templates, from talent acquisition to employee engagement to exit processes.
We spent a week talking to them to understand where they were coming from, spent a couple of days procrastinating, and took another week to put thoughts to screen. Three days, we had a list of templates our people success team loved. (Or were they being nice? We’ll never know.)
And because they sent us cake, we decided to throw in a bunch of haikus too.
